Description: World War I Imperial German cavalry sword model 1889. The sword shows signs of wear, scratches, dings, rust, ect. The blade surprisingly has no nicks that I could see but it does have some light pitting in some areas. The blade is marked Weyersberg Kirschbaum & C Solingen The scabbard shows signs of wear, rust, dings, scratches, ect as well. At the top of the scabbard it is marked 2.J.R.P.3. The portepee (knot) that goes on the sword shows signs of wear, discoloration, frays, thread coming apart, ect. Overall the sword displays nicely and would make a great addition to any collection.
