Such moving death cards were a typical feature of Germany's Catholic Religionand numerous copies of these sad death notices of the soldier named,would be sent out to friends & relatives in the days & weeksfollowing his tragic death in action in World War Two.. This 'double-panel' card(measuring approx 6" x 4.5")is from the Parish of Saaldorf in Austria near Salzburgand is in a very good condition.
