Description: WW1 Canteen Cover - Dated 1918 Condition: Fair, with the cover definitely having that "been there" look. A (very effective) repair has been done with the right snap post (see pictures), and the back hook has been replaced with a section of rope. The wool liner is still fully intact. Other than a few frays towards the bottom, the cover is free from holes/tears. This cover is khaki and is marked and dated on the inside right flap: L.N. Gross Co. 1-1918. These early war covers are difficult to find, and this one is pretty unique, so don't miss out on this one!!
