Description: Up for sale is this original painting by William “Bill” Begay. The painting was done in September of 1964 and is titled on the back in pencil “The Navajo Weaver.” Unsure of the type of paint used and probably a fine black ink used also. Please take a close look at pics and zoom in. I took the backing off and took some close up pics without the glare from the glass. Painting is done on thick paper-cardboard? Painting depicts a scene of a Navajo Indian mother weaving a blanket with her 2 children watching. Measuring 18 1/2” x 15 1/2” framed and approx 13” x 10” unframed. I took it out of frame and shows the back with the painting name in pencil. Black wooden frame ( has some white scuff marks ) and double matted in blue. Comes from a local collection of paintings that I have been selling off. Bid with confidence 100% positive feedback!!
