On vintage units, “intensity” increased the speed of the LFO with the triangle wave shape, impacting the delay time of the BBD chip and creating a more lush tone and faster rate. With the WA-C1, you can go beyond the limitations of vintage pedals by dialing in more subtle depth and the same varying rates for a larger palette of chorus tones. When engaging the hi-z, the chorus instantly transforms from a 70s color to an 80s color, with added upper-mids and treble. Engaging the “high” input sensitivity setting can be used to add headroom and clarity to the overall pedal tone. WA-C1 adds a flashing LED for effect monitoring on the face showing which setting is engaged along with the rate of the modulation. A true-to-original recreation, WA-C1 is 100% analog, using premium components like the MN3007 Xvive BBD chip.
