This was sold in the stores as a keepsake to reminisce about your Disney vacation. My Girlfriend watched it with me having visited there in the early 90's and she said she recognized almost everything and it really brought back good memories and feelings! The film covers every part of Magic Kingdom as it was back in the late 1970's & early 1980's. It also documents Fort Wilderness and the two resorts that make up "Vacation Kingdom." From Liberty Square to Fantasyland the video covers every part of the Magic Kingdom and much more! It also features the Resorts Playground with all the luxurious hotels and rustic campgrounds that make up the vacation kingdom along with a short interview with Walt himself and if the voice narrating the tape sounds familiar to all you baby boomers out there, well you're right as it's (uncredited but definitely) the famed narrator/announcer of the 1960's Dick Tufeld who voiced the robot on Lost in Space and narrated such classics at Irwin Allen's Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and The Time Tunnel! HERE'S A BEAUTIFUL SOUVENIR OF THE SINGLE MOST POPULAR VACATION DESTINATION IN THE WORLD! Running time: 25 minutes/colorNot ratedVHS video cassette Overall in good shape. A few momentary minor sound drop-outs in the first couple of minutes of the tape, very typical for a VHS tape well over 30 years old. Most of these have not survived or are in terrible shape. The "Clamshell" cases are almost always cracked/broken, this one is fully intact with just some minor yellowing with age. I've seen these being offered for sale for 25-30+ dollars with shipping & as high as 45 bux in one instance although there's one being sold as "New" for $79.99 plus 5 dollars shipping!! (Ya, good luck with THAT!) Very few for sale on eBay at any time. Typically 4-6 examples in varying degrees of condition. This is probably one of the better ones you'll find. For that reason alone it really is something worth seeing.This 25 minute advertisement brings back so much nostalgia. Some of the rides it features (like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea) have been torn down and replaced, so whatever memories you can find of these particular rides you hang onto for dear life.This video showed me that Disney World has a bunch of hotels. Before I only knew of the one the monorail goes through, but there are quite a few others, including tree-house ones. MAN it must cost a lot of money to stay in those things.The only drawback to this video is it was made before other theme parks like MGM Studios, EPCOT Center, and Blizzard Beach were made. Discovery Island and River Country are featured however.The quality of the tape I own has diminished over the years unfortunately. Heck, the thing is so old it's turned yellow inside.
