Description: Fantastic abstract oil on board, framed and dates ca 1960s. This picture is a strong example of mid century modernism at its best. I really love the colorful palette, the bold, confident brush strokes and cubist influence. This piece is part of a collection by the artist Tara Scheyer. It’s tempting to assume a familial connection to the famed art dealer Galka Scheyer, but so far my research hasn’t led down that road. More digging is warranted. The painting is in great condition with some light surface wear. The vintage frame has wear. Measures 21” x 22” to ends of frame.
