Description: For sale is the mid century modern ceramic Bitossi abstract woman wall plaque shown in the listing photos. The piece measures ~ 24" X 9" (top and bottom width) X 1" and is hand marked R. 1253/B Raymor Italy (photo 7) as well as with a Raymor label 1078B BAG (photo 8). It is our understanding that Raymor/Bitossi used BAG to designate designs by Alvino Bagni. It is worth noting that this piece has a number of textural qualities that are more associated with Aldo Londi. The condition of the front is in superb vintage condition with a single spec of residual clay (photo 5) and very light crazing in pots. The reverse side shows a nick to the left leg (photo 10) and a rough spot at the edge (photo 11). Neither issue on the back is detectable from the front.
