Description: Vintage General Electric Radio Clock Model 572 Vacuum Tube Glow Hands **TESTED** Good cosmetic condition with light/moderate scuffing & scratching, EXCEPT the case is broken and cracked at the top rear. The radio works, although it buzzes when on, regardless of the volume setting. It will only receive the strongest AM stations when we tested it inside the house (with admittedly a lot of RF interference). The Phono input does work well with a bit less buzzing. The alarm setting doesn't seem to work with either the buzzer or the radio. The sleep function seems to work ok. The knobs are 3D-printed replacements, although the small knob on the "sleep" setting is missing. The glow-in-the-dark hands no longer glow but still have measurable activity. Originally $45 in 1955, which made it a rather pricey $529 in modern dollars, showing just what a luxury it would have been to own such a radio.
