An original 1948 box and string of THE BELLS OF ST. NICHOLAS which was manufactured by the E.J. Nicorvo Manufacturing company in New Jersey, USA. It comes complete with the box, the string of bells, and the 2 part plug which you have to have for them to work. After plugging in, you have to wait for them to warm up and then they slowly shake and chime as seen in my uploaded video. The string looks to be in good shape considering its' age. The bells can be a bit tricky to get to stay chiming. There is a small rod type piece connected to the bells that has to go in the red plastic piece in order for it to chime. I think it works on a magnetic type of design perhaps, but I'm not sure. That rod falls out of each of the red plastic things as soon as you turn the string off- plus they have a tendency to want to stop chiming because the rod slips out. BUTTT, there is a ball chain on each of these bells and I THINK someone may be able to attach a longer chain perhaps to the top and they would stay chiming no problem. Again, it's just a bit tricky. There's a tiny bit of room for improvement if you're handy, but will work as is.
