I did notice that the chiming begins about 1 minute before the hour. This clock is in excellent, like new condition. It was purchased with no pendulum; therefore, the pendulum that is included is a new one. There are no nicks to the oak nor any wearing to the finish. It also comes with installed wall protection pads on each back corner. I'm not sure but they appear to have been applied during production because of the type of material and how precise they have been applied. This Waltham Regulator Clock Model 633315 is a vintage piece.
