Description: This sale features an Uncirculated $2.00 Federal Reserve STAR Note. This note is denoted as Series 2003 and was printed for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (letter “B”). The reverse shows the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. The bill shown in the pictures - extremely low serial number B00006947* - is the exact one you will receive.The low printing (only 16,000) of these rare New York 2003 stars is a factor that - though there are no guarantees - will likely cause these notes to increase in value.This crisp, attractive note from the rare and popular 2003 STAR series has 4 sharp corners, good color, a bold green seal, and no holes, tears, rough edges, obvious stains, or missing pieces, There are light waves over the 4 corners, where the bill had PREVIOUSLY been housed in a Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) commemorative holder. After removing it and taking the pictures, the bill is currently housed in a semi-rigid holder which SHOULD - over time - tend to “iron out” those unfortunate waves.
