Description: Vintage SCREEN ROMANCES Magazine from 1937 with Carole Lombard on the front cover. 122 pages. 29cm x 22cm approx. SCREEN ROMANCES was a popular monthly film magazine from the 1930s. It stood out from its competitors because it reworked the latest Hollywood movies as short stories interspersed with real screen shots and photos of the actors. Its circulation declined in the 1940s as the publics demand for celebrity news and gossip grew and the magazine's short story format fell out of favour. Acceptable condition overall for a magazine that is over 80 years old. Cover has typical wear & tear. All pages are present and fully bound. Old booksellers stamp on cover. Spine very frayed. Rust stains around staples. Please look at the photos for a better appreciation of the overall condition of this magazine. UK mainland P&P is FREE. Will be sent in a protective sleeve and posted in a stiff cardboard envelope. Overseas Buyers : we use ebay's global shipping programme to send items outside the UK.
