Description: Vintage Wall Pocket Planter Garden Brass Verdigris Scalloped Vase Decorative. This is a large wall pocket believed to be made of brass, made in India. At first glance it may look like steel, but this does not magnetize & brass shows thru in tiny areas (see pix). It has a natural verdigris patina that is developed when brass, bronze, or copper metal are exposed to the atmosphere for long periods of time. The generous size and intricately hammered details are the attraction here, most wall pockets tend to be ceramic, painted & small, but this one will attract the eye. It will definitely stand the test of time looking great indoors for a rustic feel or outside to highlight favorite plants/flowers. Estate Sale find. Condition is Used/Pre-Owned in good shape showing minor wear as expected with age (see pictures as part of description). This is showing minimal surface rust mostly on back, it's quite old (nothing serious), also a label 'Made in India" highly coveted for durability & longevity, due to brass' compositional makeup. Sold as-is we do not restore antiques as many value the verdigris aged-patina (me included), we leave this for others to decide.
