Both brands are authentic. They separated decades ago but they derived from the original Masamoto. This is the vintage Masamoto Unagisaki (eel knife) knife made in late 80s or early 90s. The black horn ferrule / bolster has minor chips. I filled a deep chips with a filler. An edge for Unagisaki knife has to be a micro bevel because it was intended to fillet. I created a micro bevel on the edge.
