Vintage Hollywood Regency Chalkware Ballerina Lamp Black & White FAIP 1960s

Description: A Vintage Mid Century Modern FAIP Black & White Textured Chalkware Ballerina Lamp. The lamp measures approximately 36” tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial, 17 1/4” from the base to the top of the main column / body and 7” in diameter at the bottom of the base. The shade itself, measures approximately 15” tall by 16” in diameter. The lamp has a high quality heavy feel and weighs just under ten pounds. This outstanding vintage piece features an enchanting design which includes six abstract glossy black ballerina figures, each in different stages of dance, set against raised, white textured, lightly undulating lines. Which seemingly, together, represent one ballerina gracefully and fluidly transitioning into different stages of her dance. When researching this particular FAIP lamp design, I came across a slightly different lamp, undoubtedly designed by the same artist as this lamp, which had been attributed to Frederick Weinberg. However, I myself am not familiar enough with FAIP or Weinberg in order to independently confirm the statement. This fully functional, working lamp is in very good vintage condition, with the exception some minor paint loss throughout the lamp, which is primarily only noticeable upon close inspection. Fortunately, all of the wearing is contained to the surface paint, with no actual chips, cracks damage or issues. I took two extremely close-up, detailed photographs of the most severely effected areas, which can be viewed in image number twelve. Perhaps needless to say, there is no shade included, however, the lamp does include, what I believe to be its original lucite finial. The lamp is signed on the lower back portion of the base, with the mark reading: “©️ F.A.I.P.” *Please note that these photographs were taken in very bright lighting in order to provide potential customers with an opportunity to see the piece in detail.
