Description: Vintage Knights Templar Ceremonial Sword by Lilley-Ames Company. The Lilley-Ames Company of Columbus, Ohio is one of the oldest (1933-1965) Masonic and Fraternal Regalia manufacturers in the United States. This blade and scabbard is in MINT condition as if it was just made yesterday. The best piece I have seen. Ivory colored handle with ornate designs and monogram JMS. Gold colored pummel, cross-guard and chain. Pummel has crouching dragon on helmet. Blade is silver with gold designs of crusader scenes. Blade is very clean (no rust or pitting) and has previous owner engraved (John M Smouse). There is a long line of John M. Smouses in Pennsylvania. I have not been able to determine if it was the 1940's Smouse or the 1960's Smouse. Scabbard is gold colored with fine details, red cross and name of previous owner. - see images for detail. Leather carrying case with buckles to protect and transport in style. Measures 37". Extraordinary piece - a fine set with personalization, tremendous craftsmanship and thoughtful details. Perfect for rituals or the collector.
