Description: Original antique Victorian / Edwardian in its original rare antique frame.The frame is antique faux marble, gold and silver, ornate frame with a gilded decorative edge on a gilded molded background and a hand painted inner section. Expertly decorated, designed to imitate marbles.The frame measures 12 ¼” X 14 ½” x 2”.The picture measures 8” x 10”.These were common during the Victorian era and into the late teens.The paper faces and / or body were used already in the Victorian era.This lovely maiden has a pure silk layered wedding gown, with fine pure silk 3D roses, silk gown ribbons and fine cotton lace.So meticulously done by hand.Set on a black fabric background.Excellent condition considering that this is a vintage piece.This was a family heirloom.
