Description: Here's a rare c.1920's (or earlier!) vintage C LP Albert system clarinet, made in France and stenciled for Carl Fisher of NY. It could be any of a half dozen prominent makers of the period - Couesnon or Martin Freres would be good guesses. It is a well made instrument of fine grained grenadilla wood with solid nickel alloy key-work, posts and rings, and a bore of .570". It is in great condition for age, with no cracks or repairs to body. It has been disassembled, soaked in oil, swedged and countersunk, body, keys and posts buffed, new white Roo leather pads and corks installed. It has a warm, focused tone and good intonation for age: Overall, I am really pleased with this instrument! Comes with vintage (possibly original) case in worn but solid condition.
