Description: Title: Vintage Argus Argoflex 75 Seventy Five Camera W/ Leather Case Untested/PartsUP FOR AUCTION Vintage Argus 75 Camera (untested) This camera HAS NOT been professionally tested as a fully functioning camera. But the SHUTTER works the different parts physically move… Specs: The Argoflex Seventy-Five was produced by Argus in the USA, beginning in 1949. The main body was molded from plastic (perhaps bakelite), while the film door is a painted metal casting. The front panel and viewfinder hood are in a contrasting satin-finish metal. A cloth neckstrap is permanently attached to the top of the body Images were 6x6cm on 620 film. While essentially a simple camera, it did feature double-exposure prevention, as well as a clever reminder when the film has been wound: A red-painted shutter blade is visible through the taking lens only after the shutter is cocked. Condition: Good for its age with normal vintage wear and needs a good cleaning which I am leaving up to the discretion of its new owner. Sold AS IS. Leather Case and attached strap. Because it was not professionally tested and although the parts that I tried out DO move/turn (I turned film advance knob and clicked the shutter) and the shutter works it is being sold "as is." The camera body appears to have some wear; please review all photos for further details; (see pictures for yourself). I know nothing about cameras nor photography. --BUT-- This camera belonged to my late father (who would have been 108 years old this year) He was a photography buff of sorts… and I do remember that he BABIED this camera—it was HIS pride & joy After he passed on, it lovingly came into my charge & care to keep it safe & sound! ...which I did.... BUT I need to make room in my cedar walk in closets and can no longer hold on to HIS things! Since I have not penchant for PHOTOGRAPHY whatsoever; ...I need to find a new home for this camera!
