Description: As best as I can piece together, this is a late 1950's Kay made Jumbo, branded as an Airline. It's in great shape for a 60+ year old guitar, just a few chips and scratches around. Binding is clean, frets have plenty of life. I love these old Kay and Harmony acoustics, but this one doesn't get enough playing time to keep around so time to pass it on. It's not a subtle guitar but a cool piece of history that projects nicely, good anywhere from the campfire to the coffeeshop stage. It's in good playable shape for my kind of playing (mostly banging out first position chords) though the action is on the higher side at around 3.5mm at the 12th fret. Bridge (which may or may not be original) is lifting a little at the back, which I tried to capture in a photo. Not a big issue for me but a pretty straightforward fix at some point in the near future. The guitar will come well packed in a new chipboard case.
