Vintage 9ct gold mans jaeger lecoultre Automatic watch, London 1960

Description: Selling part of my collection, an Original vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre wristwatch, circa 1960. Solid 9ct yellow gold case with a screw-down case back. The silvered eggshell dial has applied, slim gold baton indexes and matching gold hands. The dial is in lovely condition, showing no damage or chips, and a pleasure to look at. Automatically wound, this watch is powered by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s excellent calibre K880 which has decoratively finished, damascened plates. Calibre 880 was first introduced by LeCoultre in 1959. The gold case was made for Jaeger-LeCoultre by the London based case makers, De Trevars Ltd., whose sponsor’s mark of DTE is stamped to the inside case back. De Trevars supplied Jaeger-LeCoultre with a range of high quality wristwatch cases, including gold cases for some of the watchmaker’s famous Geophysic models which were launched a couple of years before the production of the present wristwatch. Jaeger-LeCoultre calibre K880 automatic movement, damascened plates, and lever escapement, 17 jewels, mono-metallic balance, 19,800 BPH, with Kif shock absorber Silvered eggshell dial, with applied gold faceted indexes, baton hands, centre seconds Solid 9ct yellow gold case, London hallmarked 1960, with a polished finish, a chamfered polished bezel, and screw-down case back. Diameter excluding winding crown: 34mm Length including lugs: 42.5mm Strap width: 17mm Watch is in excellent condition for period, nicely polished and looks beautiful on the wrist, running strong, and a great timekeeper. Strap is an old brown stitched, long length leather strap, with a plain gold plated buckle. The old watch box is included. Due to recent no payers, I am now listing the watch with a buy it now only.
