Description: Vintage 30s Martex Dry Me Dry Dish Tea Towel Art Deco Style Bubbles Blue VGC Vintage Martex dish or tea towel. Measures roughly 17 x 31.5 inches. Linen, cotton and rayon. Tag reads: "Martex DRY-ME-DRY REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. THE AMAZING NEW 3 FIBRE TOWEL". Tag functions as a hanging loop. Colors have softened a bit from their just-milled/printed intensity but are still lovely. Medium and deep indigo blue on soft white. Fabulous art deco motif with big bubbles bouncing from top to bottom. Sold as a kitchen linen but this one would be great in the bath! Initially, it's a big ask but this is a pretty special towel. Condition is very good, the palette is lovely, the design is fab and it still has its tag. Dry-Me-Dry towels hang in museums and some years back Sarah Horowitz wrote a book about them.
