Description: Vintage 1964 AIRLINE MODEL 7214 WITH AMP IN CASE. Super cool, true vintage tone & feel! This vintage guitar looks great hanging on a wall or on a strap! Airline model 7214 featuring a beautiful Brazilian fretboard and original gold finish. The guitar plays well with nice low action. Original tuners hold strong. The internal tremolo effect requires a C-cell battery. We tested and the effect is between weak and not currently working. Both pickups are strong. Typical play wear for its age - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great vibe to it with a beautiful patina. The single ended 6V6 powered amplifier is superior build quality, made with quality transformers and a Jensen alnico speaker. It's similar to a tweed Fender Champ. This all original Amp in Case features: 1 x 12AX7 1 x 6V6 1 x 5Y3 Made for Montgomery Ward by the Valco factory (Supro/National) in Chicago, USA (The Airline brand was the "house" guitar brand for the Montgomery Ward catalog). Together, they make the full package: Valco's student model guitar and amp in case. Also includes original owners manual! It's the perfect couch guitar and a great addition to anyone's collection. You're gonna love it!
