Pull string works, sound box makes some noise, but is mostly just motor noise. Not clear sound. Sometimes sounds like screaming. Makes a great creepy doll for Halloween! Or needs some TLC. This is a vintage used toy. The clothes and doll have some dirt stains. Eyes are a bit cloudy & creepy as well.
