Description: Vintage 1960’s Original MENU RESTAURANT ON THE MOUNTAIN Suffern, New York Designed by Junzo Yoshimura This is an original vintage restaurant menu from the RESTAURANT ON THE MOUNTAIN in Suffern, New York, which was the restaurant on premises of the MOTEL ON THE MOUNTAIN. Head Chef was Sandie Nagy of 1896 House Restaurant of Williamstown, Massachusetts. At the New York Thruway's Suffern Exit 15. The striking restaurant building, designed by Junzo Yoshimura of Tokyo, has been hailed as a striking contribution to contemporary architecture. From its balconies, Manhattan's towers can be seen 30 miles away. In the 1980’s the building was changed to a Mt. Fuji Steakhouse. The menu features a red front and back with great graphic logo on front and text “THE RESTAURANT ON THE MOUNTAIN” “SUFFERN, NEW YORK”. The back explains about how the restaurant came about. Inside Dinner menu is 2 pages with Appetizers, Fish, Poultry, Meats, Specialties, Salad, Beverages & Desserts. Filet Mignon for $6.95! Measures 13” x 10” closed. CONDITION: Excellent vintage used condition. Has a crease from fold and some other creasing and light staining inside. Top of front has some of the red paper peeled and pinhole.
