Description: This is a fabulous vintage 1960's shopping bag from Mandel's shoe store. Mandel's was a very popular shoe store in Southern California/Los Angeles area for years. It went out of business in the early 1970's. This bag is from a personal collection and has been stored carefully for years. It's from the mid 1960's. Guaranteed all original, guaranteed vintage! This bag is so amazing - it captures the "groovy" 60's years when advertisers used bold bright colors to grab the attention of their customers. Note the phrase across the top of the bag: Shoes And Something Else. At the bottom of the bag is the name Mandels. Size: approximately 12 x 18 inches Still has the original string drawstring for bag closure (see photo). That's pretty amazing for an item this old! The bag is made of a lightweight plastic/vinyl. Condition: Excellent. all original, still has the bag drawstring, no rips or stains. I think the most amazing thing about this bag are the bright, vibrant colors that still retain their color today. Yellow, pink, turquoise and white in a swirly "pop art" design. This is the type of avant garde design so popular in the 1960's.
