Description: This basket is part of a collection I've gathered and enjoyed for years. I'm now downsizing my home and have rehome these pieces of history. Here is a Victorian Sewing Basket, probably made in Germany. I can only imagine how delighted is original owner was when she opened it to take out her sewing projects. The handles alone caught my eye, along with the curvy shape and two tone weaving. It is a great example of period extravagance and the attention paid to the sewers at home. I've listed the condition issues above. I will package carefully and ship promply.
