Description: Perfect for historical reenacting, docenting, or holiday caroling. For consideration is a beautiful handmade, Victorian/Dickens style capelet and skirt. Both pieces are 100% cotton, medium-weight, flannel. The capelet is fully lined with a white cotton. The cut is seamless for this capelet, and it closes at the neckline with a fancy double interlocking loop frog. There is also a simple hook & eye at the neckline. I have edged the neckline & front opening with a hand sewn outer stitch in ivory, double row at the neckline. The bottom is edged with a fun, cotton, ivory fringe. All of the trimmings have been sewn on by hand for a quality look. The skirt has an elastic draw waist for tying off to your fit inside the back center seam. A generous sweep allows for wearing over crinolines as well as hoops. The hemline is just the selvage edge of the fabric with a very small fringe to it. I will gladly machine hem to your length if you want at no cost to you. Just let me know your desired length at time of purchase.
