Description: Formed in the shape of a sunflower, this Van Briggle flower frog or holder is approximately 3 ⅛ inches in diameter and about 1 ¾ inches tall. It is glazed in turquoise with a dark blue overglaze, and the Van Briggle logo is incised on the bottom. If our reading of The Collector’s Encyclopedia of Van Briggle Art Pottery by Richard Sasicki and Josie Fania is, correct these flower frogs were made during the late teens and twenties. This flower frog is in very good condition or better condition. There are a couple of shallow flakes on the bottom which might be production related given their location.
