Description: A very rare Original published in 1940 'War Objectives Map of Europe' by Bartholomews which unfolded measures 34 inches by 44 inches. It highlights the countries of Europe - Czechoslovakia, Austria and Poland occupied by Germany and then the USSR by 1940. This map is reproduced in the United States and originals such as this appear to be very scarce but found in USA University and UK Public collections. Produced in the early stages of WW2 it is linen backed and folded with some writing to edges as shown along with pin holes where wall mounted, presumably during the conflict. The overall condition is good for its age as can be seen, some slight staining to rear as illustrated.
