Description: Used 1961 menu from the Royal Victoria Hotel in Nassau, Bahama Islands. Built by the Bahamas Government in August 1861, it was the first luxury hotel in The Bahamas and became the center of business and social activities during the American Civil War and bootlegging during the days of American Prohibition. After it ceased operation in 1971, the hotel sat vacant for some time. 10” x 12 ¼” with stiff covers and menu pages held in by a gold cord. The menu has a printed date of June 1960, but a pencil not also has a 1961 date. Edge and mild water damage along the edges. See scans.
