This was made as a fighting weapon. These have a leather washer handle with a 7" blued bowie knife type blade. Overall, this fighting knife is in Very Good - Very Good Plus condition. The pommel and guard are securely attached to the tang. They do not wiggle. They have light handling marks and the pommel retains most of its coloring. The guard coloring has started to change colors and has light oxidation. The leather O-rings are securely attached with some light scuffs, but no notable wear. The spine, fullers and sides have light scrapes and finish loss. The blade edge has no nicks or dings. It has its original factory edge. The tip is intact and comes to a sharp straight point. The remaining finish has turned a flat color. The left ricasso is marked "US / ONTARIO". The sheath is in Very Good - Very Good Plus condition. There are no rips or tears in the leather, the stitching is sewn tightly and the rivets are securely fastened. The belt loop, retaining strap and snap are all functional. There is some light discoloration, but most of the black finish remains. This fighting knife will be a great addition to your US fighting knife collection, or a knife collection in general.
