Description: This U.S. G.I. Model of 1951 parka liner is pre-owned in excellent-plus condition. Comes close to looking like unused, very clean. Size Medium, though it tends to run large so as to accommodate the heavy wool field shirt worn over a cotton fatigue shirt. The liner is made of 60% wool/40% cotton mohair friese, which is worn against the parka, and nylon, worn against the body. A heavy weight liner. Production on this liner for U.S. military contract ceased in 1956. In 1965 production began on the new style M65 parka with the liner being made of lightweight nylon batting.
