Description: RARE "Seek, Strike, Destroy" World War II U.S. Army Tank Destroyers Sterling Silver Bracelet. I found this in Brownwood with my Ace 250 metal detector in 2019 at a site where a large baseball field used to be during World War II up until the 1960s. I've kept it for 5 years but now it's time to let someone else enjoy and possibly display it. Brownwood was home to Camp Bowie during the War years where soldiers were trained. My guess is that it was lost by a Camp Bowie soldier while he was watching a baseball game. I've searched the Internet many times and haven't found another bracelet like this one! Features the logo with the words "Seek, Strike, Destroy" and the image of a Hellcat crushing a tank between its jaws. Camp Bowie was home to several Tank Destroyers Groups during the War. Over 400,000 soldiers were stationed and trained at Camp Bowie in Brownwood, Texas from 1940-1945. The Camp was closed in 1946. Has some scratches, small spots of missing enamel, some tarnish, and small nicks but it's an extremely rare item. Weight: .70 ounces. See photos and description for details. Small size but it fits on my wrist easily.
