It is part of Operational Command North. After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion on February 24, 2022, during the defense of Kyiv, the brigade fought with the occupiers in the Brovary and Gostomel directions, in Buch, Irpen, Moschun and Chornobyl. After the occupiers were expelled from the Kyiv region, the units of the brigade were redeployed and are conducting combat operations in the east of Ukraine. On July 28, 2023, the 112th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was awarded the "For Courage" medal by decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi. The emblem of the brigade includes a stylized image of a golden Bow with an arrow, inscribed in a golden circle, which is the central element of hundreds of flags of the Kyiv Cossack Regiment.There is a hard Velcro on the back of patches (chevrons).
