Trifari Necklace, Bracelet, Earrings 1954 Alfred Philippe

Description: This gorgeous parure comes in its original box marked Jewels by Trifari. It consists of a necklace, bracelet and earrings. I researched the design and it was patented in November of 1954 by head designer at Trifari, Alfred Philippe. The patent number is 173,375. The bracelet is marked Pat. Pend. so I am assuming that this is one of the earliest sets produced.This is a classic design featuring faux pearls and diamante' rhinestones. The necklace is adjustable from 14 inches to 15 1/2 inches. A necklace extender was in the box and that will give you another 3 1/2 inches if you choose to use it. Necklace is about 5/8 inch wide. The bracelet is 7 1/8 inches long and 3/4 inch wide. It has a secure fold-over clasp. The clip earrings are 1 1/8 inches top to bottom. All of the pieces are signed Trifari.I do see some minor wear which I believe is from storage. It is on the metal of the earrings so please look carefully at the photos. There could be a little bit on the other pieces but I didn't see any. The faux pearls are lustrous and the rhinestones are sparkling. However, four of the faux pearls on the bracelet have some minor wear consistent with its age and use. I have not tried to clean this jewelry. It is most unusual to find the set still in its original box. The box is blue leatherette with a satin lining. There is a little wear to the outside of the box. Considering its age this jewelry is in excellent condition.The box is large and quite heavy. It is too large to fit in an envelope so it will have to go via Priority Mail.
