Description: The Fighting Temeraire A fascinating book of the history of the 'ship of the line' (built 1798 in Chatham) which became famous through her involvement in the Battle of Trafalgar and then, during her voyage to the scrapyard, as a masterpiece by JMW Turner in 1838. This item was held by Bradford library from 1962 to 1980 and then sold-off to the public. It is in reasonably good condition having been plastic-coated to protect the outer dust jacket albeit it does have various library stamps in the preamble pages and a cosmetic crease across pages 1 to 9 (i.e. they are not torn).
