The Independent Film was directed by Don Chaffey and the film score was composed by Bernard Herrmann. Shot in Eastman Color, the film was made in collaboration with stop-motion animation master Ray Harryhausen and is known for its various legendary creatures, notably the iconic fight scene featuring seven skeleton warriors, risen from the teeth of the Hydra. The Greek hero Jason encountered the giant Bronze monster Talos when one of his crew stole from the treasure the giant guarded. Chased by the 70-meter-tall giant, Jason’s ship was plucked from the water by Talos and the sailors had to jump for their lives. Traditionally sculpted by the artisans of the famed creature shop of Kaibutsuya, this detailed Gigantic Talos statue is made from soft vinyl and stands at 23.62" tall with the base included. Each piece is hand-painted to look like it has an ancient Bronze finish. He is posed as an ancient Statue with his sword in one hand. He stands atop his monumental value which holds his lavish treasure.
