Description: This is one of the more interesting films I've seen in the last 10 years. Based on 17 th-century's Giambattista Basile's folklore Tale of Tales takes us on a visually stunning journey that is both beautiful and macabre. Three kings have misadventures within the their kingdoms and all of them could give any other fairy tales a run for their money. In the kingdom of Longtrellis, the King and his Queen attempt to conceive a child through some very strange and unusual ways. In the kingdom of Highhills a daft monarch marries his daughter off to of all things an ogre while developing a strange relationship of his own. He seems to have an obsession with breeding a giant flea. Yes, a flea. A really big one. The ogre situation ain't anything like Shrek either. In the kingdom of Strongcliff a sex obsessed ruler falls in love with a woman who is not what she seems...at all. Now these are in the realm of fairy tales for adults. The film is unrated and is NOT for the kids. If you're in the mood for something a little different this is a film worth checking out.
