This film is on the hard to find list and is seldom seen. SYNOPSIS: Sword in the Desert is set in Palestine during World War II. Dana Andrews stars as an American seaman who is engaged in smuggling European Jewish refugees into the Holy Land, despite all of the restrictions put on by the British occupation troops. Jeff Chandler makes his movie co-star debut (this was his 5th film) as an Israeli rebel leader; his performance brought about so much fan mail that Chandler was given a seven-year contract at Universal. This is a very rare and hard to find film of the WWII era. This comes from a 16mm film transfer. Comes in hard shell case with artwork and title printed on disc.
