Estimating that this from 1890's, it was purchased at a very fine antiques retailer - GUMPS of San Francisco in the 1970's by my mother. It is hallmarked as shown and was made by a top-notch firm and made great quality items that were retailed at the finest shops. Great on the buffet! No longer made, this is a prize worthy of a serious host or silver collector. In great ready to use condition - especially considering the age (look at the pictures), this is a great tray for a party host to have... This ladle will coordinate with many CLASSIC/MODERN FLATWARE & CHINA SETS - Grand - Rare Classic - see pictures. Beautifully crafted with good heft these serving pieces were made to last.
