DESCRIPTION Crassula ovata, commonly known as jade plant, lucky plant, money plant or money tree, is a succulent with small pink or white flowers that is native to the South Africa. Much of its popularity stems from the low levels of care needed; the jade plant requires little water and can survive in most indoor conditions. It is sometimes referred to as the money tree. Soft succulents will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of freezing temperatures they can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny window sill or under a grow light. They need great drainage and infrequent water to prevent rot. Pick containers with drainage holes and use well-draining cactus and succulent soil. Water deeply enough for water to run out the drainage hole, then wait for the soil to fully dry before watering again. Simply plant them in a pot and leave at bright location without direct sunlight for couple days. Then you can begin watering them. Put it under shade or filtered sunlight. Use Cactus soil. Do not over-water. Succulent favor dry conditions once roots are well established. Allow soil to dry completely between irrigation.
