The seller had only one and I let it roll around in my bin of rough for a very long time. When we cut it recently the results surprised me. Its origin is unknown. The seller didn't have any information, and my attempts to research its origin failed. This large teardrop cabochon is typical of the material. The brown agate contrasts wonderfully with the white to pinkish coral formations that seem to be exploding. Possibilities for this stone include a pendant or a cuff bracelet. It's also a good candidate for wire wrapping. It was cut with precision to be set in jewelry. It has mirror like luster. The back is smooth, not polished.
