Description: This bracelet is part of the Magazine line and is called Purple. As a child, Carlos Sobral saw his sister Iris rolling up bits of magazine pages to form “beads” and assemble beautiful necklaces. He was so fascinated by the magic of such a metamorphosis that he never forgot this playful experience of creation. The Magazine collection is a tribute to both this memory and to illustrated magazines that portray life in printed images. This bracelet is the Day version. It features 48 elongated flat rectangle beads in a gorgeous multi hue rainbow stripe pattern. It is 2" wide and is on a double elastic banding. I also have the matching necklace available. The first United Nations Conference to address environmental degradation was held in Stockholm in 1972. Already at that time the designer Carlos Sobral was working with resin and creating new techniques and alternative products to reuse all the raw material he consumed in the production of his collections.
