Description: Signed Todd Phillips 15" Quoizel Art Glass Pendant Torchiere Ceiling Lamp/Shade The hand-made shade measures between 15"-16" W x 6" H and is etched/signed with Todd Phillips '07 This was removed from a home ceiling in 2024 and was fully working at the time. The glass shade can be removed from the lighting hardware and can be used to make your own light fixture. Even a standing/table lamp. The artisan shade itself is made of thick iridescent gold with accented swirled glass. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SHADE CAN BE REMOVED FROM THE ELECTRICAL HARDWARE TO USE IN YOUR OWN DESIGNED FIXTURE. After working at US glass companies, he apprenticed famous Venini glass factory in Murano, Venice, Italy, where he worked with the Italian masters in the handblown glass world. He completed his undergraduate work at Alfred University School of Glass and Ceramics, where he studied art and design, with his main focus on glass sculpture and glass science. Todd opened up glass studio Salamandra Glass on the historic waterfront in Portsmouth N.H. in 1975, and in 1980 sold his popular business to become the lighting designer for Quoizel lighting, creating art glass and Tiffany lighting products. After retiring from Quoizel in 2019, Todd is redirecting his love for art glass into new creations at North Carolina Glass Center.
