Description: A very rare, natural color, wooden Passi ram figurine designed in Finland by the late Kaija Aarikka (1929-2014). Passi rams are each entirely handmade and require the attention of up to ten skilled artisans. This one is in excellent condition and is the largest size, measuring approx. 15"L x 9"W x 8"H. Materials include pine, maple and beech. The Passi figurine was originally designed in 1973 and according to my communication with the Aarikka company, this sculpture was part of a 300-piece series from the late 1990s. As you can see in the photos, this is a signed piece and is numbered 32/300. I am happy to answer questions and send additional photos. New, unsigned, large Passi figurines on the Aarikka website retail for 1985.00 Euro ($2100 USD). The design symbolizes perseverance and determination.
