Description: Very good classic specimen from the Yaogangxian mine in China. Numerous, rootbeer colored Scheelite crystals, growing on a large Quartz crystal, with some Mica crust surrounding those crystals. Some Calcite growing on top as well. Just a really good combination specimen from this well known Chinese locality. For sure, the best Scheelite in China comes from Mt. Xueboading, in Pingwu. But, if you like Scheelite, or tungsten minerals in general for that matter, every locality will become unique for it's own style, and personally, I like how the Scheelites from the Yaogangxian mine present, often on these crusts with many of these brown and slightly translucent smaller crystals growing side by side. This specimen is 8 1/2 oz in weight, or 242 grams. The size is 3 inch x 2.5 inch x 2 inch. Please be advised, I ship with Ground Advantage.
