Description: This scarce 1910s litho "The D=W Company" humidor 25 cigar tin, measuring 5" x 3 1/8" x 3 1/8", is in very good condition with no dents, some minor superficial rust on the bottom interior and some minor age related paint scratches and chips. There are two pieces of tax stamp. The cigars were manufactured by the Diesel-Wemmer Cigar Company, Lima, OH in Factory 95, 10th District, OH. This striking brass colored tin with red lettering was made by the Heiken Can Company, Cincinnati, OH. It features advertising for D=W=Company's "Special Cigar" brand. These cigars were considered "Special" because they continued to be hand rolled after the cigar rolling machine was invented and widely used.
