IT BOASTS A GEMSTONE-INSPIRED AESTHETIC BROUGHT TO LIFE BY A DISTINCTIVE ANODIZING TECHNIQUE THAT RESULTS IN A CAPTIVATING CRYSTALLINE TEXTURE ON THE UPPER. THE BREATHABLE OPEN MESH FOUNDATION ADDS A TOUCH OF MYSTIQUE, REFLECTING VARYING HUES UNDER THE EVER-SHIFTING PLAY OF LIGHT. Attracting visitors for over 145 years, the crystal cave in Kutztown, PA is a mainstay for adventure. Inspired by the unique geology and natural formations within the cave’s walls, this ProGrid Omni 9 offers a gemstone-like opulence. Iridescent in color, the shoe has been treated with an anodizing process that creates a “crystal” effect throughout the upper. An open mesh base shifts between colors when the light changes focus. Each Saucony x Saucony shoe comes with a custom box and dedicated sockliner. Materials: This design is packed with details and flows together nicely. The upper is a purple, big hole mesh with an aqua blue contrast underneath. This effect is very similar to a Rainbow Pyrite Crystal, which displays a coating of iridescent, shimmering rainbow colors in blues, pinks, and purples. On the toe cap, there is a burnt umber panel with subtle silvery grey inlays. On the lateral side of the toe cap, there's a grey panel with a subtle crystal effect and a black dotted design within it. Moving to the side panels, there's a gold 3d-like cage underneath the saucony logo that finishes at the OMNI 9 window. One of the most impressive details is the lacing cage & side panel that wraps around the back. These features are done using a holographic panel, but the side panel is a yellowed, 🪟 pattern, which is maybe the first time as a sneaker design. Lastly on the tongue, they added 2 logos, the left patch is a crystal & the right patch has 'Crystal Cave'. Overall, the attention to detail is incredibly dedicated & the brand was somehow able to execute a subtle aesthetic to a simultaneously loud design. In terms of comfort, this sneaker is comparable to the 2002r due to a nice, bouncy feel to it. In addition, it typically has a short break-in period of about 1-2 days max. SAUCONY.
